First birthday & Cake Smash

Suddenly, your baby is turning one! It’s amazing to look back at how much they’ve grown, with the toddler stage just around the corner.

A first birthday photoshoot is the perfect way to celebrate. Whether you want a simple session with a number “1” balloon or a fun (and messy!) cake smash and splash.

What is a cake smash and splash?

We start with clean, cute portraits in an outfit of your choice (feel free to bring a favourite toy). Then comes the cake - your little one can dive right in while I capture all the joy and mess. After that, they have a bubbly splash in a tin tub, followed by a cosy towel wrap.

It’s a fun, memorable experience and you get to keep the leftover cake! Will your baby smash it or take a more delicate approach?

I work with two local bakers (Sweet Times & Baked By Beale) who provide 6" vanilla “paint smudge” cakes to match your chosen theme.
