The newborn stage is precious but so fleeting! After nine months of waiting, your baby is finally here - but before you know it, they’re more alert, and that sleepy, curled-up newborn phase has passed. That’s why newborn photography is so special - it captures those moments before they’re gone.
While phone photos are great, nothing compares to a professional shoot. The best time is within the first 14 days when babies are at their sleepiest, but even if you’ve passed that, we can still create beautiful images. Sessions are baby-led, with plenty of time for cuddles and feeding breaks to keep them calm and comfortable.
To secure your spot, it’s best to book during your second trimester, adjusting the session date after your baby arrives.

- Mornings are usually the best time for a newborn shoot, as babies tend to be more settled then. We work entirely on your baby's schedule, so please don't stress if your little one needs extra comfort or feeding during the session. Their comfort is my top priority, and a relaxed, happy baby will help us achieve the best results.
- I have a range of outfits, props, headbands and blankets available for use. Please feel free to bring babies favourite comforter or special blanket to be in a few images.
- Feel free to bring anything you might need—plenty of nappies, a change of clothes, extra milk, and even some food for yourself!
- If siblings or parents are joining the photos, I recommend neutral / muted tone clothing that coordinates with what the other family members are wearing. Whether it’s a white shirt and jeans or a beige dress, the key is to choose something you feel comfortable in, as the room will be warm to keep the baby cozy, and you'll be moving around a lot. Avoid anything that could distract from the images, such as bold patterns, visible brands or logos, clothing with large text, or outfits that are entirely white or black. I recommend all wearing the same colour plain socks e.g. black / white.
- For a complete experience, if you are planning to get in any photos, I work closely with 'Trust The 2 Of Us,' who can provide both hair and makeup services before the shoot, subject to their availability.
